A high-rise volume situated in Hillbrow dedicated to the development of NEET (Not in Education, Employment and Training) youths.
The building serves to build the mind, body and spirit of these youths creating a space where skills development, personal development and work experience are intergrated throughout the high-rise.

Project | 02 Light & Shadow
Set within the backdrop of the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve is an installation that explores the concept of migration and capturing the moment of arrival.
A stark concrete monolith stands out in the grasslands of the nature reserve signifying the weight of the moment of arrival. Inside the monument light 'cleanses' the traveller before stepping out into the settlement.

This project was done under Platform Architects.
A modern multi-volume home set within the Staart van paardeberg farmstead located in the winelands of Paarl.
The house embeds itself into the slopes its located on, rising out from the basement, the ground floor offers views all along its living spaces, elevated above a deep rockbed that is avoided to respect the sensitive landscape.

An intensive renovation project bringing this classic heritage house to the modern age whilst respecting the original architecture juxtaposing edgy glass and steel against classic brick and plaster choosing to distingusih between new and old.

Bold concrete forms and eyecatching geometry create excitement in this contemporary masterpiece in the guise of a family home.

A suburban renovation for an elderly couple seeking to update their home and creating an ideal living space for entertaining indoors and out.
The living area was opened up to create a seamless flow from the different spaces that extends to the patio braai area and pool.

This project was done under Platform Architects.
This humble home is located in Pebble Rock Golf Estate and priotises comfort and environmentally sound living in an elegant way.
The prominent gable walls evoke a farmhouse feel with the steel pergolas adding a contemporary feel. Aboveground and subterranean water storage tanks, a grey water storage tank and solar energy are some of the green features in place.

This renovation included the addition of an extended living room and entertainment area that are connected to each other through the design of the new stone clad fireplace and built-in braai.
